• Specifying and implementing key components of the IT infrastructure, including HPC clusters, containerisation solutions and Cloud services
• Defining and making available application and system environments on Windows and Linux platforms, bearing in mind the specific requirements of the scientific users

This makes you unique

• Solid background in IT, gained through higher education or equivalent professional experience, supplemented by training in project management
• Excellent knowledge of IT infrastructure and of Linux/Windows operating systems. Familiarity with virtualisation technologies such as VMware or AHV
• Experience with workload managers (e.g. SLURM) and high-performance computing (HPC) environments. Good programming skills (e.g. Python, Bash shell) for administration and automation tasks.
• Knowledge of version control (e.g. Git), configuration management tools and containerisation are additional assets for this role.
• Knowledge of two official Swiss languages and a very good command of written and spoken English
